Brant Richard Betcher

Brant Richard Betcher, 44, of Geneseo, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at home.  Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Dan Seibert will officiate.  The service will be live-streamed on www.vandemorefuneralhome.com/live-stream.  A memorial visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Brant Betcher Memorial Fund.

Brant was born November 24, 1978, the son of Richard and Peggy (Olson) Betcher, in Bloomington/Normal, IL.  He attended United Township High School IT Vocational Program while attending Geneseo High School, going on to attend school in the Chicago area.  He graduated from DeVry Technical Institute.  His employment history included working at Hy-Vee, Silvis, during high school and then after graduating from DeVry he was employed at Padget Dish Network, then he worked as an IT Tech for HNI Corporate, Muscatine, IA.  He married Pam (Bair) Betcher on June 30, 2007, and later separated on October 24, 2018.  Brant was very talented in the IT field and had been presented several advanced awards during his career.  When younger, he was in the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Geneseo High School Marching Band. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Richard and Peggy Betcher of Geneseo; son, Logan Betcher of Geneseo; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Olson of Ft. Meyers, FL; sister, Brenna (Betcher) Holke of Geneseo, IL; aunts and uncles, Jerry (Terri) Olson of Morris, IL, Deb (Paul) Bussey of Plainfield, IL, Ron (JoAnne) Olson of Ottawa, IL, Pam Anderson of DeKalb, IL, and Tim (Martha) Olson of Wichita, KS; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald C. Olson, Arleen (Sipes) Betcher, and Kenneth Betcher.
