Brenda L. Jackson

Brenda Louise Jackson, 58, of Mineral, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at OSF – St. Luke Hospital, Kewanee.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Atkinson Chapel.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at Mineral Cemetery.  A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  Memorials may be directed to the Brenda Jackson Memorial Fund which will be distributed amongst her favorite local charities.

Brenda was born February 4, 1966, the daughter of William and Patricia (Haars) Jackson, in Geneseo, IL.  She graduated, class of 1984, from Annawan High School.  She was employed by Central Bank as a compliance officer.  Her hobbies included camping, her cars, and spending time with her Corgis.  She especially loved her children and grandchildren, and the family will greatly miss their time spent together.

Those left to cherish her memory include her father, William “Bill” Arthur Jackson of Annawan; children, Kira (Justin Lyman) Sisson of Geneseo, Chris (Julie) Bitting of Cambridge, IA, Austin (Trisha) Bitting of Mineral; grandchildren, Cayden, Lucy, Ensley, and Gio; siblings, Julie (Marty) Ufheil of Pensacola, FL, Loren (Val) Jackson of Annawan, IL, and Rod (Renee) Jackson of Mineral.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Jackson.
