Brenda Kaiser Obituary

Brenda Kay Kaiser, 68, of Geneseo, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2024, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Jeff French will officiate.  Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., before the funeral service on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Clarissa Cook Hospice House, 2546 Tech Drive, Bettendorf, IA, 52722.

Brenda was born October 26, 1955, the daughter of Kilmer Russell and Billie Jean (Franklin) Anderson, Moline, IL.  She graduated from United Township High School – East Moline, class of 1973.  On May 28, 1983, Brenda married Gary Kaiser.  Brenda was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed reading books, counted cross stitch, traveling with her husband and friends, and worked for several years at the Daily Dispatch before becoming a dedicated housewife and mother. She was a Christian Women’s Club of Stonecroft Ministry member and had a strong faith. She had a love for lighthouses and hot air balloons. Grandma B loved her grandchildren dearly.

Her family would like to thank Dr Ho and all of the staff at Genesis Medical Center East Campus and Clarissa Cook Hospice House. A special thank you to all who visited with words of encouragement at home or away. 

All who would like to gather with the family to share stories and happy memories of Brenda’s life are invited to join us following the service for a casual gathering at the Geneseo Country Club in Geneseo, Illinois for food and drinks from 4pm until 7pm. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Gary Kaiser of Geneseo; children, Kayla (Rob) Martin of Yorkville, IL and Alyssa (Nic) Novotny of Papillion, NE; grandchildren, Harper, Finley, and Rhett Martin, and Avery, Graham, Quinn, and Nash Novotny; mother, Billie Jean Anderson; siblings, Beth (Dwayne) Adams of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Michael Anderson of Granger, TX; sister-in-law, Karen (Omer) VanLanduyt of East Moline, IL.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Kilmer Anderson; father-in-law, Richard Kaiser; mother-in-law, Edith Kaiser.
