Bruce Wolfe was born on September 9, 1954, the son of Donald and Elizabeth (Neuman) Wolfe in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He graduated from Larkin High School in Elgin, IL in 1972. On July 4, 1979, he married the love of his life, Jody Garinger and together they raised a beautiful family with lots of love, laughter and a little chaos. Bruce worked as a plumber and pipefitter in Union #501. He also spent many years performing nuclear inspections. Although he grew up in Elgin, he fell in love with the rural countryside of Henry County where he spent the majority of his adult life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, birdwatching, morel hunting and working around his beloved farm. He valued hard work and was always ready to help friends or family with their projects. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up, always cheering them on from the sidelines and supporting them with a steadfast love. He will be dearly missed by his yellow lab, Sunny.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jody; children, Anne (Adam) Watson of Philo, IL, Evan (Jimmy) Hill of Geneseo, IL, Charlie (Katy) Wolfe of Billings, MT; siblings, Donald (Mirtha) Wolfe, Brett (Sue) Wolfe, Kevin (Pam) Wolfe, Pamela (Ed) Muzzey, Greg Wolfe, Debbie (Don) Weiss, and Joe (Jess) Reed; grandchildren, Avery, Leah and Charlie Watson, Harrison and Emmett Hill, and Vivienne Wolfe.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Elizabeth; sister, Mary Naples; and parents in law Jack and Marianne Garinger.
