Obituary
Cody Allen Murzyn, 29, of Geneseo, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at his home. A memorial service for Cody will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Reverend Stephen Mueller will officiate. Cody was born November 5, 1993, the son of Ken Murzyn and Denise (Rannow) Fuqua, in Geneseo, IL. He graduated from Geneseo High School, class of 2011. Cody enjoyed the outdoors, often spending his free time fishing, boating, fixing and building things, and gardening. He loved his family, especially his children.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Ken Murzyn of Geneseo; mother, Denise (Jon) Fuqua of Cambridge; Fiancé, Nicole Thiessen of Geneseo; children, Mia and Calvin Murzyn; siblings, Dustin Murzyn, Brooke Murzyn, Jordyn Murzyn, Laney Fuqua and Devin Fuqua; grandparents, David Rannow of Mineral, Darla (Ron) Miller of Cambridge, Marylou (Frank) Kaluso of Geneseo, and Bob (Rita) Fuqua of Atkinson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
