Colleen K. “Coke” Lindsey,74, of Colona, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis, IL. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo with Pastor Terry Lancaster officiating. Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to Hammond Henry LTC activity fund, Hammond Henry Hospital Foundation or Genesis Hospice. Colleen was born on December 25, 1946, in Geneseo, IL the daughter of Virgil and Margaret (Butler) Schuetzler. She married Paul Lindsey on September 30, 1972; he survives. Coke graduated from Geneseo High School in 1965 then started her working career at an Arizona Dude Ranch, summer lodge in Minnesota, Moline Law Firm, Geneseo financial institution, Geneseo School District and co-owned and operated a commercial cleaning business.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, children; Shad (Danielle) Lindsey of Bloomington, IL, Mandy (Mark) Cheek of Geneseo, siblings; Ginny (Dick) Farrell of Geneseo, Mary (Bill) Sand of Overland Park, KS, Sally (Lyle) Wirth of Geneseo and Frank (Cynthia) Schuetzler of Geneseo, grandchildren; Taylor, Skylar, Alec, Jenna and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Coke was proud and loved her family, cherished her friends and would do anything for them without asking for anything in return. She was one of a kind. She will be missed.
