Connie Marie Carlson, born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Norma (Rice) Carlson and George Carlson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 17, 2025.
Connie’s life was marked by deep faith, unwavering love, and a heart for serving others. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Julie Largent; son-in-law, Dustin; and her cherished grandson, Cooper, who was the joy of her heart. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Carlson, and his wife, Kathy; niece, Kaylene Carlson; nephew, Kasey Carlson, and his wife, Alicia; along with a church family she loved dearly.
Connie spent many years in the Seattle area, where she served as the office manager for Brier Realty and later built her own successful bookkeeping business. In 2019, she moved to Geneseo, Illinois, where she became an integral part of SonRise Bible Church in Atkinson, supporting its growth and ministry alongside her son-in-law, the pastor. She built an impressive online following with Connie’s Crafting Dreamers, teaching and demonstrating crafts in live video demonstrations.
She was a faithful friend to many, continuing to stay in touch with people over decades. Her passion for mentoring women and her steadfast devotion to Jesus Christ touched countless lives. Connie’s legacy is one of grace, wisdom, and a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Norma Carlson, and her sister, Patricia Carlson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 4th, at SonRise Bible Church in Atkinson, Illinois. All who know and love Connie are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
