Connie S. (Voss) Leathers

Connie S. Leathers, 73, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory-Geneseo Chapel. Private family graveside services will be held at Clinton Lawn Cemetery-Clinton, IA. Memorials can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. Connie was born on July 5, 1950, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Harold and Betty (Mauk) Voss. She married Frank Leathers on February 13, 1988, in Atkinson, IL and he survives. Connie graduated from Moline High School Class of 1969. She worked at John Deere Parts in Milan, IL, and after retirement she worked part-time at Super 8, Growth Inc, and Allure all in Geneseo. She enjoyed going for golf cart rides, working in her flowerbeds, mowing, plowing snow, and driving her Mustang. Connie especially loved spending time with her grand babies and great grand babies. Her family will miss her dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband of 35 years, Frank Leathers, daughters; Mindy McBride of St. Roberts, MO, Valarie (Ron) Golden of Carbon Cliff, and Tara Sisco of Geneseo, brothers; Rick (Barb) Voss of Coal Valley and Jim Voss of Moline, sister, Donna (Dave) Swartowt of Moline, grandchildren; Richard, Brittany and Desirea McBride; Gabby and Courtnie Wright, Makayla Leathers, Payton McBride, and Vaeda Sisco and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Richard Jason Voss.
