Darrell Lievens, 77, of Geneseo, IL passed away on July 30, 2026, at The Gardens in Kewanee, IL. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Geneseo Chapel at 11 A.M. Pastor Terry Lancaster will officiate. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Geneseo, IL. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service, from 10 A.M. – 11 A.M at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the Antique Tractor and Engine Association.
Darrell was born on September 25, 1948, the son of Robert and Betty (Swanson) Lievens in Geneseo, IL. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1967. After high school, he proudly served his country in the Army from 1968-1970 in Vietnam. He married Linda Brown on April 28, 1970, and spent 46 years farming together. Darrell was a semi driver for several farm implement companies. He retired from Birkey’s in Annawan, IL. Darrell was a proud member of the Antique Tractor and Engine Association. He enjoyed going on tractor rides and working on the tractor with his best friend Perry Coziahr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kathie McKoon of Geneseo, IL, Kristie (Brian) Mannon of Kewanee, IL, and Kevin Lievens of Geneseo, IL; brother, David Lievens of Cambridge, IL; grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Dillman, Trenton (Hannah) Lievens, Justin Mannon, Hannah McKoon, and Haylie McKoon; and great grandchild, Aleta.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Lievens; and great grandchild, Blakely Lievens.
