Darylnn J. Peart

Darylnn Jean Peart, 79, of Annawan, Illinois, passed away at her home on Friday, July 10, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Atkinson Chapel, with Reverend Terry Lancaster officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow, with inurnment at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Rebuilding Together of Henry County or the Annawan/Alba Fire and Rescue Squad.

Born April 26, 1947, in Geneseo, the daughter of Daryl and Ruth (Ufheil) Peart, Darylnn graduated from Kewanee High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in counseling from Illinois State University in 1977. She taught elementary school in the Rockford and Sherrard School Districts, and also in Atlanta, GA.   She later worked as a Social Security Disability Adjudicator in Atlanta and then as a Counselor Therapist at Bridgeway in Kewanee until her retirement.

On October 23, 2021, she married her longtime partner of 39 years, Constance L. Deal. Darylnn enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, dogs and cats, and cheering for the Cubs, Bears, and Illini teams. She moved from Atlanta back to Illinois in 1992 to care for her mother and was lovingly known as the “grand poobah” of the family for keeping everyone connected.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving wife, Constance Deal of Annawan; siblings, Kevin (Kathy) Peart of Aurora, IL, Karen (Don) Krager of Springfield, IL, and Jeff Peart of Annawan; sisters-in-law, Gail Peart of Annawan, and Diane Peart of Kewanee; nieces and nephews, Amanda Peart, Lindsey (Greg) Brown, Matthew (Stephanie) Krager, Kyle (Julia) Krager, Shannon (Scott) Youmans, Steven Peart, Corey Peart, Jeremy Peart, Brandon (Jill) Peart, and Lexi (Frank) Bucaro; and many great nieces and nephews.

Darylnn was preceded by her parents, Daryl and Ruth Peart; brother, Steve Peart and Kalvin Peart; and nephew, Ryan Peart.
