David J. Luciani

David Joseph Luciani, 70, of Colona, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.  Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  The family would like to invite everyone to the celebration of life at the Geneseo Country Club following the burial service.  A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., before the memorial service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the family, in care of June Luciani.

Dave was born on February 6, 1956, in Chicago, IL, to David and Naomi (McGuire) Luciani.  In February of 1993, Dave married June Pruett.  He believed in showing up for the people he loved and took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, and family man. 

Dave enjoyed the simple things that made life meaningful.  He was known for his quick wit, sharp mind, and loving nature.  He could often be found fixing cars in his shop, a skill that seemed to come to him naturally.  More than anything, he loved his family.  His humor, intelligence, and steady presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him.  The love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all of us.

He is survived by his loving family including his loving wife, June Luciani; father, David Luciani; children, David (Jessica) Luciani of Peoria, Laura (Jason) Angel of Kewanee, Ashley (Michael) Ackerson of Woodhull, Nickole Luciani of Moline, and Tony (Ali) Luciani of Alpha; grandchildren, Drake, Aja, Lajaya, Jameer, Alina, Alaina, Ein, Elias, Gracie, Aiden, Ayla, Kovie, and Kalani; and brother, Mark Luciani of Princeton.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Luciani.
