Diana Sue White, 74, of Cambridge, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Hammond Henry Hospital Long Term Care Unit - Geneseo. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private service will be held for the family. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel will be assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Diana White Memorial Fund.
Diana was born on February 14, 1949, the daughter of William “Jack” Burris and Mary (Settles) Burris, in Carrollton, IL. She attended Hall High School and went on to obtain an associate degree from Black Hawk College. On May 21, 1965, Diana married Earl Lee White in a ceremony in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2023. She was employed as office manager for Wheatley’s Real Estate and Cambridge Monument Company. Diana loved doing crafts, enjoyed attending her grandsons’ sporting events, and was a huge Mickey Gilley fan. When Earl was alive, they enjoyed their time together and going out to dinner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dawn (Steve) Evans of Cambridge and Bill (Kellie) White of Geneseo; grandchildren, Greg Evans, Nathan (Katrina Heyl) Evans, and Zakery (Riley Bernauer) White; great-grandchildren, Landen Heyl and Theo Evans; brothers, Larry Pegram, Mickey Pegram, and Jay Jones; and brother-in-law, Larry Flaherty.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Burris and Mary Jones; loving husband, Earl White; granddaughter, Katherine Evans; brother-in-law, Paul Welsh; sisters-in-law, Shelby Welsh, Mary Flaherty, Carol Pegram and Rosemary Pegram; and niece, Debbie Flaherty.
