Duane M. Bollengier

Duane Michael Bollengier, 65, of Moline, IL, passed unexpectedly on July 8, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on July 16, 2021, at Highland Park Bowl, 4204 Avenue of the Cities, Moline, IL from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Duane was born in Kewanee, IL on December 6, 1955, to Donna (Minnaert) and Darrell Bollengier.  Duane attended Annawan High School and the Morrison Institute of Technology. Duane married the love of his life, Mindy Meier, on May 1, 1976. They celebrated 45 years of love, laughter, and adventure.  Mindy and Duane raised 3 children and adored 5 grandchildren.  Duane loved riding his Harley with Mindy, traveling, golfing, watching his children and grandchildren grow, having a beer or glass of Sweet Lucy Whiskey with friends, and sharing in good conversation with anyone who crossed his path.  Duane enjoyed a 25+ year career with ABC Supply Company where he worked hard, enjoyed success, and made lifelong friends.  He was blessed to be a part of the ABC family.

Those left to cherish Duane’s memory include his wife, Mindy; children Danielle (Tom) Allardyce, Abby (Joe) Johnson, and Matt (Valerie) Bollengier; grandchildren Sidney and Sophia Allardyce, Max Johnson, and Chloe and Colton Bollengier; siblings Denise (Tony) Bell and Deb (Keith) Taber; and many nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents Donna and Darrell Bollengier.
