Dwayne Lee Blank

Dwayne Lee Blank, 93, of Geneseo, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Allure of Geneseo. A funeral service will be held on August 8, 2026, at Grace United Methodist Church in Geneseo, IL at 11 A.M. Pastor Excelsior Biteng will officiate. A burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. – 11 A.M. prior to the funeral service at Grace United Methodist Church in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church.

Dwayne was born at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo, IL on June 8,1933 to Clyde and Gladys Blank. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School where he enjoyed being a 3x4 athlete. After serving his country, Dwayne married his beloved wife Amie on March 18, 1956, at Grace United Methodist Church where they became lifelong members. Together they ran a successful grain and livestock farm.

The joys of his life were his love of God, family, country, and farming. He often remarked about having the best office view he could imagine. Over the years Dwayne was an active member of Kiwanis, VFW, the American Legion, Henry County Pork Producers, and the Spring Creek Grange. 

Dwayne loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren, fondly watching their sports and other activities.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Amie Blank of Geneseo; children, Ron (Julie) Blank of Geneseo, IL, Cynthia (Tom) Hudson of Geneseo, Steven (Janet) Blank Perdido Key, FL, and Marcia (Bruce) Rarrick of Hernando, FL; grandchildren, Adam (Rehina) Blank, Brian (Kate) Blank, Patti (Jacob) Teague, Allison (Andrew) Marking; Lee Rarrick, Andrea (Nick) Sweetnam, Eric (Amanda) Blank, Garrett (Breanna) Blank, Kevin (Teresa Blank, and Kristi Jager; and 23 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Gladys Blank, sister Marjorie Miller, and his daughter Caroline Blank.
