Obituary

Esco “Bill” Neal Jr., 77, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 12:37 pm, at the University of Iowa Medical Center in Iowa City, IA. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 5-7 pm at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bill Neal Memorial Fund.

Bill was born on September 28, 1944, in Lafayette, IN, the son of Esco William Sr. and Marie (Sandige) Neal. Bill graduated from J.D. Darnell High School in 1962 and went on to be come a car salesman. He married the love of his life, Caroline and together they grew an incredible family. Bill was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved spending every chance he could with his family. He was known for his great sense of humor and his outgoing personality.

Bill is survived by his wife, Caroline, Milan, IL; son, Jeff (Sarah) Neal, Bettendorf, IA; daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Roman, Rock Island, IL; sister-in-law, Diane Neal, Chandler, AZ; sisters, Junie (Dale) Bush, Geneseo, IL, Mert Corley, Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Lance (Lauda) Young, Lindsay (Raymeo) Campos, Lexi Neal, Shawn (Jordan) Roman; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Esco and Marie; brother Jim Neal; and sister Diane Neal
