Faye was born in Chicago, IL, on December 24, 1937, the daughter of Everett and Irene (Schroeder) Johnson. She graduated from Bowen High School in Chicago Class of 1955. Faye then married the love of her life Donald Piepho on August 24, 1957. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2017. They moved to Geneseo in 1978 and stayed until she moved to be close to her daughters in 2020. Faye was a lifelong member of the Lutheran faith and has been a member of St. John’s since 1978. She was excited to move to a different part of the country and easily made friends in her new community at Crista Senior Living. She loved quilting, Facebooking, spending time with family and exploring new parts of the Pacific Northwest. She will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Donna (Jack) Holdridge of Shoreline, WA, Nancy (Steve) Edgar of Edmonds, WA, grandchildren; Emilie (Jim) Glaw, Alex Holdridge, Elizabeth Wiegle, William Holdridge, Ethan (Mary) Wiegle, Gillian (Kaitlin) Edgar and Max Edgar, son-in-law, John (Paula) Wiegle of Blue Grass, IA and sister-in-law, Alice (Wally) Neath of Chico, CA.
