George Storm Obituary

George B. Storm, 85, of Geneseo, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Allure of Geneseo.  A private funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Vandemore Funeral Homes – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Stephen Mueller will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  The funeral service will be streamed on Facebook Live, beginning at 10:00 a.m. for family, friends, and loved ones unable to attend the services.  Memorials may be directed to Concordia Lutheran Church.

 

George was born on April 4, 1935, the son of Earl and Minnie (Gehn) Storm, in East Moline, IL.  He graduated from Geneseo High School in 1953.  He married Ruth Ann Wallenfeldt on June 29, 1953.  She preceded him in death in 2002.  He married Marsha Thompson on April 18, 2003.  He was a farmer in rural Geneseo and Atkinson for over 26 years. He later was employed with Hulting Hybrids, Ferry Morris, AgriPro, and Sieben Hybrids – Geneseo. He worked part-time at Geneseo Car Wash.  He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marsha; sons, Cory (Maureen) Storm, and Jerry (Julie) Storm; daughter, Laurie (Tim) Burns; stepchildren, Michelle Mustain, Michael (Hayley) Thompson; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and brother, Stan (Linda) Storm, Geneseo, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Minnie Storm, his wife, Ruth Ann, his son, Randy Storm, and his grandson, Anthony Burns.
