Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Van Raalte

Gerald "Jerry" W. Van Raalte, 61, of Geneseo, IL passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. The family would love for you to come and honor his life at Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, May 27th, 2022, from 4pm – 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rosedale Cemetery and luncheon will follow in Cambridge, IL. Memorials can be made to Jerry’s family.

Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandpa Jerry W. Van Raalte hung up his mic and keys on May 21st, 2022, at the age of 61. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

He was born on June 21, 1960, in Freeport, IL on the farm. Son of Orville and Ada (Tessendorf) Van Raalte. Jerry served in the United States Army. He married Rita Ballard on March 24, 1984, and she survives. Together they had 3 children who gave them 6 grandchildren which he adored. He worked for several years at WD Customs in Cambridge, IL driving semi.
