Glenn "Fergy" Allen Ferguson

Glenn “Fergy” Allen Ferguson, 75, of Annawan, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Atkinson Chapel.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.  The funeral will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page.  Memorials may be directed to the family, which will be divided amongst the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, and Annawan Rescue Unit.

Glenn was born on April 8, 1946, the son of Irl and Martha (Quinn) Ferguson, in Princeton, IL.  He graduated from Annawan High School, class of 1965.  On April 18, 1970, Glenn married Rosemary Meier.  Glenn began his career at the factories, Pennbearthy, AAF, and Red Jacket.  He started Fergy’s Paint & Auto Body in 1978.  He was 100% self-taught in auto body; he started working on cars as a young man and became very skilled in the art.  He always had a side project, usually a cool street rod or some other unique vintage car that he showed at car shows.  He expanded into used auto sales, and in 1985 he moved the business to the family farm and started G&J Motors.  He was the happiest when working or fishing.  He loved traveling all over the country.  He enjoyed fishing trips with family and a yearly trip with his best buddies. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Rosemary; children, Jason Ferguson, Annawan, and Jennifer (David) Clark, New Jersey; grandchild, Gabriella Clark; brother, Corlin Ferguson, Lincoln, IL; and aunt, Wilda Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irl and Martha; sister, Wilma Herrick; and brothers, Jim and David Ferguson.
