Gloria (Marley) O'Donnell Obituary

Gloria Rita (Marley) O’Donnell, 90, of Geneseo, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Allure of the Quad Cities.  Cremation rites have been accorded, and per the family's wishes, there will be no visitation, and a private funeral mass will be held.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry, 620 West Main Street, Geneseo, IL, 61254.

Born on October 16, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, Gloria was the beloved daughter of Frank and Teresina (Costanzo) DeFazio.  She was united in marriage to Joseph Marley, and together they were blessed with three children. Joseph preceded her in death in 1987. On November 10, 1990, Gloria married Dallas O’Donnell, who survives her.

Gloria dedicated many years of service as a budget analyst at the Rock Island Arsenal, from which she eventually retired.  In her leisure time, she found joy in traveling and pursuing various crafts. Above all, Gloria cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

A faithful member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, Gloria’s warmth and devotion touched the lives of all who knew her.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
