Gloria I. Snow

Gloria I. Snow, 88, of Geneseo, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society, Geneseo.  A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at First Congregational Church, Geneseo.  Reverend Bruce Bergthold will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Memorials may be directed to First Congregational Church or Henry County Humane Society – Geneseo.

Gloria was born July 14, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Tillie (Williams) Swanson, in Geneseo.  She attended Geneseo High School.  Gloria and D. Richard Snow were married on November 20, 1949, in Geneseo.  D. Richard Snow preceded her in death in 2011.   She was employed by the Geneseo School District as a custodian for over 25 years, from which she retired.  Gloria enjoyed collecting things and flower gardening.  She especially loved her pets and animals.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sharon (Jeff) Schneider, Geneseo, Judy (David) Eisenreich, Plymouth, MN, and Linda Pilcher, Rock Island; sons, Dennis (Claudia Parish) Snow, Sawyer, MI, and Ron (Skipper) Snow, Cambridge; grandchildren, Stephanie LoGuidice, Jim Pilcher, Nicole Towery, and Sam Snow; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan Towery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Tillie, her husband, D. Richard, son, Robert Snow, two brothers, and three sisters.
