Hope A. Hintz, 54, of Silvis, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Emergency Department. Cremation Rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Finn’s Grill, 527 2nd Street W, Milan, IL, 61264. Vandemore Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741.
Hope was born September 23, 1971, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Sharon (Ethridge) Brown. She graduated from United Township High School with the Class of 1989. She later met and married Bill Hintz. Hope worked as a medical coder for Dr. Chaudhry. She took great pleasure in crafts and plants, and held a deep affection for wild animals, including her beloved pet tortoise, Baby Girl. She especially enjoyed feeding the deer and raccoons that visited her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Bill Hintz of Silvis, IL; children, Courtney-Jade (Kristofer Sedam) Hudson of Milan, IL, Alexandria (Eduardo) Escalante of Carbon Cliff, IL, Sandra (Joe Dellarusso) Hintz of Gastonia, NC, and Christine (Bryce) Gregoire of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Eris Hintz, Haven Gregoire, and Ariella Escalante; two great-grandchildren on the way; and sister, Dama Brown of Silvis, IL.
Hope was preceded in death by her parents, Sharon and Richard Brown; and sister, Crystal Reynolds.
