James M. Plumb, 61, of Geneseo, passed away on January 28, 2025, at Hammond Henry Hospital-Geneseo. Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held at this time. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory-Geneseo Chapel is in charge of his arrangements.
Jim was born on June 30, 1963, in Moline, IL, the son of James A. and Mable A. (Anderson) Plumb. He was a diesel mechanic for various companies throughout his career and most recently worked for LRS in Atkinson, IL. Jim was a dedicated hard-working man. You could often count on him being at work or with his grandson Jordan. He loved playing trumpet in the city band with his daughter Bridget every summer. He will be dearly missed especially by his loving dogs “Ray Ray” and “Molly”.
Those left to cherish his memory are parents, James (Mable) Plumb, daughter, Bridget (John) Johnson, grandson, Jordan Johnson, and 4 brothers; Michael, Curtis, Rodney, and Joseph Plumb.
