James "Jim" D. Densberger

James D. Densberger, age 59, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory- Geneseo Chapel will host a visitation on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and a memorial service on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Terry Lancaster officiating. Jim was born on January 30, 1964, in Peoria, IL, son of Willard and Rita (Klieber) Densberger.  He married Jennifer Schuyf in 1989 celebrating 34 years of marriage. Jim received his bachelor’s degree from Augustana College and retired from Martin Engineering in 2020.  Jim was a gentle giant who was passionate about family, friendships, music, his dog Scarlett, Illini football and basketball, tailgating, family trips, golf and his new granddaughter. His beautiful smile and humor will be greatly missed.

Jim is survived by his wife, Jenny; sons, Justin of Geneseo, IL and Jordan of Madison, WI; grandchild Sophie; brother Randy of Aurora, IL; sister Nancy Schoolman of Traverse City, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother Mark.
