James “Jim” Eugene Streight, 51, of Kewanee, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 27, 2022, at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Jim was born on April 28, 1971, the son of Larry and Jan (Snook) Streight, in Geneseo, IL. He was a member of the class of 1989 at JD Darnall High School, Geneseo. Jim enjoyed fishing, watching football and Nascar, and hunting. He just loved being outdoors.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jan (Al) Erickson, Geneseo; daughter, Hailey (Everett) Schwer, Dubuque, IA; brother, Pat Streight, Cambridge; and sister, Kim Puentes, Spring Valley, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Streight; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Mary Streight; and maternal grandparents, James and Betty Snook.
