Jeanette L. Klavine

Jeanette L. Klavine, 91, of Geneseo, passed away on August 5, 2024, at IRC Silvis. Visitation for Jeanette will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Grace United Methodist Church-Geneseo. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Dan Siebert officiating. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery-Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grace United Methodist Church or the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry. 

Jeanette was born at home in Garden Plain, IL, on July 3, 1933, the daughter of George and Alice (Schaver) Temple. She graduated from Fulton High School Class of 1950. She married Roy Joe Klavine on March 24, 1954, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2019. She worked at Fulton Grain Elevator for many years. Jeanette was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and attended Azure Circle. She was an Avon Representative for 50 years, loved gardening her flowers and baking. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are children; Daniel Klavine of Geneseo, Vicky (Bob) Wyffels of Geneseo and Jeffrey Klavine of Renton, WA, grandchildren; Rachel (Tim Jung) Wyffels, Jacob (Chloe) Wyffels and Brandon Klavine, great grandchildren; Natalie and Alaina Jung, Leo and Will Wyffels, siblings; Barbara Domdey of Morrison, Lois Farber of Geneseo, Shirley (Jim) Snyder of Colona and Loren (Sandra) Temple of Comanche, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Randy Joe Klavine, brothers, Marvin Temple and Allen Temple.
