Jeanette M. (Dettmann) Pierce

Jeanette M. Pierce, 87, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on March 26, 2024, at Allure of Geneseo. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at Rock Island Memorial Park on Friday, March 29, 2024. Condolences can be left at www.vandemorefuneralhome.com

Jeanette was born in Rock Island, IL, on June 1, 1936, the daughter of Herman and Lydia (Lerch) Dettmann. She married Paul Pierce on January 31, 1953, and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1986. She loved to go shopping, crochet, travel, listen and dance to country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are children; Charles (Susan) Pierce, Connie Adler, Cindy (Scott) Cullen and Sherrie (John) Sperbeck, grandchildren; Andrea (Josiah) Jones, Elizabeth (Matthew Jones) Pierce, Abigail (Brandon) Rice, Patricia Pierce, Samantha Adler, Brooke Adler, Taylor Cullen and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Pierce, sons, Paul Buckner Pierce Jr. and Robert Pierce, siblings; LaVerne Dettmann, Howard Dettmann, Lloyd Dettmann, Herman Dettmann Jr., and Darlene McIntyre.
