Jennifer “Jen” Violet Dobbels, 46, of Geneseo, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deacon Tom Wachtel will officiate. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Jennifer Violet Dobbels Memorial Fund.
Jen was born September 9, 1974, the daughter of Alfred and Leona (Lock) Dobbels, Jr. She was employed as a pharmacy technician at Walmart. She married Paul F. Werner on December 1, 1992, in Cambridge. They later divorced. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was with her significant other, Glen Robinson, for over twelve years. She enjoyed art, watching movies, listening to music, reading, cooking, and watching NASCAR. She especially enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the Tug Fest, and any festivals held in the Geneseo area.
Those left to cherish her memory include her partner, Glen Robinson, Geneseo; mother, Leona Dobbels, Geneseo; daughters, Kali Werner, Lyndon, IL, Ali Werner, Geneseo, and Brooke Robinson, Geneseo; stepsons, Shawn Robinson, Rapid City, IL, Brad Robinson, Port Byron, IL, Damien Robinson, Port Byron, IL, and Chris Robinson, DeKalb, IL; grandchildren, Owen White, and Lilly’Annah Stephenson; brothers, John (Pam) Dobbels, Coal Valley, IL, Joe Dobbels, Geneseo, IL, and Jesse Dobbels, Geneseo; sisters, Jackie (Mike) Wisdom, Colona, IL, and Janet (Jason) Shoemaker, Prophetstown, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Dobbels, Jr; brother, Jerry Dobbels; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
