Jim "Jimmie" M. Rusk

Jim “Jimmie” M. Rusk, 80, of Geneseo, passed away on October 31, 2024, at Hammond Henry Long-Term Care-Geneseo. Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory- Geneseo Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Chris Ritter officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery-Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family where it will be distributed to a worthy cause that is meaningful to the family.

Jimmie was born on December 25, 1943, in Geneseo, IL, the son of Clarence and Mildred (Gramling) Rusk. He attended Geneseo High School. In 1984 Jimmie opened Tri-Co Insurance Agency. He met the love of his life, Patricia Weber, and they were married in Las Vegas on July 2, 1978. Together they formed a beautiful family composed of seven children. Jim and Trish enjoyed life together and often took spur of the moment trips that always included antiquing. He was a golf fanatic and made five hole-in-ones. Jim also enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are children; Jimmie (Tina) Rusk, Jeff (Debbie) Rusk, Kevin (Angie) Rusk, Tom (Melissa) Rusk, Steve (Joan) Rusk, Christopher (Jamie) Holm and Kim (Jeff) Barnes, sister, Judy Borkgren, brothers; Richard and William Rusk; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Preceded in death are parents, Clarence and Mildred Rusk, wife, Patricia Rusk, and sister, Marilyn Martin.
