Judith A. (Thompson) Hanson

Judith A. Hanson, 84, of Hooppole, IL, passed away on June 18, 2025, at Hillcrest Home-Geneseo. A private graveside service for Judy will be held at Hooppole Cemetery.  Pastor Terry Lancaster will officiate the service. Judy was born on June 20, 1940, in Annawan, IL, the daughter of James and Celia (Boyd) Thompson. She married Arnold Prins in 1957 and later Charlie Hanson, both preceding her in death. She loved cooking, doing puzzles, and listening to country music, especially Miranda Lambert. She was a member of Hooppole United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are children; Cheryl (Tom) Baltimore, Alan (Sandy) Prins, and Kevin (Stasha) Prins, grandchildren; Aaron (Samantha) Prins, Kayleen Prins, Zander Prins and Keaton Prins, great-grandchildren; Victor, Eldon, Franklin, Leeland, and Melody.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Celia Thompson, husbands, Arnold Prins and Charlie Hanson, brothers; Orin, Harold, Calvin and James Thompson, and sisters; Dorothy Koss, Mary Whisker, Lucille McCune, Barbara Young, and Betty Johnson.
