Judy Ann Claeys

Judy Ann Claeys, 66, of Atkinson, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Unity Point – Trinity in Rock Island, IL. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Geneseo, IL. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church and Tri-City Trail Riders, 17320 Star Road, Prophetstown, IL 61277.

Judy was born on September 20, 1958, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Roger and Augustine (Martin) Claeys. Judy graduated from Atkinson High School and then attended Colorado University, where she obtained her associate's degree. Judy worked as a medical records clerk at Hammond Henry Hospital for many years. She was very involved in the Tri-City Trail Riders. Judy was passionate about gardening, cooking, crocheting, horseback riding and trail riding.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life partner and companion, Larry Lewis; his son Steven (Natalie) Lewis, and their children, Blake, Miyako, Jordan, Kaiya, Jacob, Julianna, Layla Lewis; son, Ryan (Angie) Lewis and their children, Dom, Mia, Whitney, Ella Lewis; sister, Jana (Dale) Rozendaal; and nieces, Anita (Bill) Theisen and their children, William, Wyatt, Wesley, and Walker Theisen; Ashlie (Mike) Lively, and their children Owen, Jake, Luke, Kade Lively; and Andrea (Matt) Oliver and their children, Claire, Leanna, and Emmitt Oliver.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Augustine Claeys.
