Judy (Minnaert) Shepherd

Mrs. Judy Shepherd, age 74, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020.  Mrs. Shepherd was born in Geneseo, IL, to the late Clyde Edward Minnaert, and the late Elsie Marie (Turf) Minnaert. Mrs. Shepherd met and married the love of her life, Earl L. Shepherd, to whom she was married for many happy years until his passing. A loving and caring person by nature, Mrs. Shepherd obtained her degree in nursing and worked as a nurse until her retirement from WellStar Health Systems.

Mrs. Shepherd is survived by her children, Lisa (Timmy) Atchley, and Cinnamon (Bobby)Mitchell; grandchildren, Ashlin (Alisha) Atchley, Skyler (Ashley) Atchley, Casey (Seth) Moses, Blake Atchley, Garrett Atchley, Tierney (Russell) Hoffmann, Lindsey Mitchell, Kayleen Mitchell, and Valerie Mitchell; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shepherd was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Shepherd, and two brothers.

In keeping with local, state, and federal guidelines and the family’s wishes, private graveside services will be held for the immediate family.
