Kenneth Lee Stockton, 65, of Geneseo, began his courageous battle with cancer a little over a year ago. The Lord saw fit to deliver him from earthly suffering and take him to Heaven, passing away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo, IL. Reverend Stephen Mueller will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitations will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral, at the church. Kenny was born November 29, 1956, the son of Ernest and Frances (Fuller) Stockton, in Geneseo. He graduated with the class of 1974 from Geneseo High School. He married Linda Nielsen on February 13, 1993, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo. Kenny was employed as an automotive technician for over 45 years at Crowe Ford and Turpin Motors, both of Geneseo. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, antique farm tractors, and farming. He especially liked classic cars and attending car shows, after all he was a “wrench man”. Kenny was a member and active in several clubs.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda, Geneseo; sister, Nancy (Roy) Specht, Geneseo; and several nieces and nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Frances Stockton.
