Laurie Lynn Daniel

Laurie Lynn Daniel, 62, of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, followed immediately by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Laurie Daniel Memorial Fund, which will benefit Laurie's favorite local charities.

Born August 26, 1962, in Silvis, Illinois, to Jean Clark, Laurie graduated from J.D. Darnall High School in Geneseo, Illinois, in 1980. She married Jay Daniel in 1980; they raised their family in Erie, IL, and later divorced.  Laurie was a lifelong animal lover, and her creative spirit shone through in her love of gardening, sewing, photography, and crafting. Laurie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warm smile, generous heart, and creative spirit touched countless lives.

Laurie is survived by children, Shae (Keith) Stewart of Port Byron, IL,  Austin Daniel of East Moline, IL, and Kiley Daniel of Moline, IL; grandchildren, Hollyn, Jordyn, and Ethan Stewart; and siblings, Cherie (Mike) Taets of Coal Valley, IL, Troy Clark of Coal Valley, IL, Roger (Jennifer) Urven, Jr, Lonnie (Jessica) Urven of CA, and Cheryl (Mike) Shannon of Moline, IL.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Wagle, and brother, Brian Horn.
