Linda Sue (Berry) Nimrick

Linda S. Nimrick, 69, of Cambridge, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at her home.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Lisa Unger will officiate.  Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery, Cambridge.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral, at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Linda S. Nimrick Memorial Fund.

Linda was born December 1, 1952, the daughter of Dorrance and Helen (Lundberg) Berry, in rural Warren County, IL.  She graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1970.  She then went on to obtain an associate degree from Carl Sandberg College.  Linda married Clyde “Fuzz” Nimrick on December 11, 1971.  He preceded her in death on December 30, 2015.  She spent several years as a bus driver for the Cambridge School District, as well as working at Sam’s Club for over 20 years between Indianapolis and Davenport.  Linda enjoyed canning vegetables from her and Clyde’s garden.  Jessica and Linda liked going and getting flowers and plants yearly for the garden.  She enjoyed driving around, looking, and watching for deer for her sons during hunting season, mushroom hunting, fishing, cooking catfish, and watching her beloved Indianapolis Colts.  She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her loving dog – Bear.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Helen (Berry) Ehrenhart of Cambridge; children, Doug (Tressa) Nimrick of Cambridge, Darin (Jody) Nimrick of Andover, and Jessica (Jason) Veloz of Cambridge; grandchildren, Samantha, Lucas, Cade, Taylor, Meric, Kyle, and Luca; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dorrance Berry; her loving husband, Clyde “Fuzz” Nimrick; brother, Paul Berry; and in-laws, Clyde and Gladys Nimrick.
