Linda Stinson Obituary

Linda L. Stinson, 80, of Cambridge, IL passed away on December 12, 2021, at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo. Per her wishes Linda will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Homes and Crematory-Geneseo Chapel are in charge of arrangements.

Linda was born on March 25, 1941, in Gilson, IL the daughter of Walter and Daisey (Howater) Lindahl. She married Richard “Dick” Stinson on May 15, 1960; he survives. Linda enjoyed flowers, sewing and making crafts. She loved her family very much especially her grandchildren. Linda and Dick were members of St. Peter’s Evangelical Community Church. Linda had an outgoing personality that drew people to her and a love for fun and laughter that began early in life. She will be remembered most for her love of Jesus.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Dick, children; Scott (Cathie) Stinson of Cambridge, Amy (James) Tharp of Valparaiso, IN, sister, Holly (Robert) Walck of Oneida, grandchildren; David and Joshua Stinson, Evan and Abby Tharp and 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters; Mary Jo Cox and Lila Rae Magnison.
