Marinell “Nellie” Pritchard, 81, of Atkinson, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo. A family-directed celebration of life and gathering of family and friends will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Atkinson Congregational Church. A private burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Atkinson Chapel will be assisting with arrangements.

Nellie was born May 2, 1938, the daughter of William and Evelyn (Salzmann) DeSplinter, in Tampico, IL. She graduated from Hillsdale High School and attended two years of college. Nellie married Ralph Pritchard on May 17, 1998, in Kewanee. She was a phlebotomist for the Mississippi Valley Blood Center, Davenport, for over twenty years. Nellie was a member of the Atkinson Congregational Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Ralph; three sons; one daughter; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one great-granddaughter, and one step-grandson.
