Mark Alan Hutchinson

Mark Alan Hutchinson, 63, of Geneseo, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at his home.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Deacon Tom Matton will officiate.  Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Geneseo.  Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.  Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Mark. Mark was born March 25, 1961, the son of Gilbert and Arlene (Verschoore) Hutchinson, in Geneseo, IL.  He graduated from JD Darnall High School, class of 1979.  He then attended Scott Community College from August 1979 – September 1986 where he received his CDL-A License Certification.  He was employed as a poultry caretaker for Ward’s Hatchery in Geneseo for seven years, a disposal worker for Little’s Disposal Service of Geneseo for twelve years and BFI – Prairie Waste Service of Bettendorf for two years, Geneseo Plumbing of Geneseo, and most recently, Conrad Disposal Service of Geneseo.  In his spare time, he enjoyed bike riding.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Ann Marie (Kirk Blackert) Hutchinson of Geneseo, Julie (Joe) Hutchinson Huygens of Kernersville, NC, and John Hutchinson of Geneseo; nephews Joseph John Hutchinson Huygens and Dwight (Lee) Alan Hutchinson Huygens; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; aunt, Dorothy Anderson of Geneseo; and several cousins and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Arlene Hutchinson.
