Matthew P. Clark, 61, of Aubrey, TX, formerly of Geneseo, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Texas Health Frisco in Frisco, TX, due to complications of end-stage renal disease.
Matt was born July 31, 1963, in Geneseo, IL, the son of Wallace and Carol (Huizenga) Clark. He was a 1981 graduate of J.D. Darnall High School, Geneseo. He then received an associate's degree from Black Hawk College, Moline. He married Alyscia Greer in 1989, and together they had three daughters. They later divorced.
After moving to Texas in 2001, Matt joined Reapers Miniatures in Denton, TX, a manufacturer of miniature pewter figures. He left Reapers in 2020 to devote full time to his fiancee's bee removal business.
Matt was proud of his guitar collection. He loved music and played guitar with the former Late Nite Band of Geneseo, and lead guitar with the In By Ten band in Texas. He was smart and shared his opinions with conviction. He also had a great sense of humor. A big MAGA supporter, Matt was glad he lived to see Donald Trump win the election. He enjoyed painting miniatures, was an avid Star Trek and Star Wars fan, and was kind to animals of all kinds. Of all the pizzerias, his favorite was still LaRoma Pizza in Geneseo.
Among survivors are a sister, Francie Clark of Geneseo, his loving fiancee, Michelle Boerst of Aubrey, TX and her family, daughters, Kaitlynn Hoehne, Hannah Roehrborn, and Morgan Clark, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister, Rebecca Clark, and brother, Brion Huizenga.
