Michael C. DePauw

Michael C. DePauw, 77, of Prophetstown, IL, passed away on September 11, 2025, at Morrison Community Hospital. Memorial visitation will be held at Loraine Church of Henry County from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He will be laid to rest at Sharon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in c/o Ruthie DePauw.

Arlene DePauw gave birth to Michael on Dec 1, 1947, in Geneseo. He graduated from Geneseo High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1968-69 as a helicopter mechanic. Michael worked hard his whole life to provide for his family, retiring from John Deere Harvester. Michael married Ruthie Bos on Oct 5, 1969, 55 years ago. His wife always had a better idea. He was known for his quick wit, limericks, and comic strip collection.

He is survived by his wife, Ruthie, and his children: Michael (Mellony) DePauw, Abigail Reisenbigler, and Molly (Ben) Reul. Grandchildren: Jordan (Cole) Vetter, Jacob (Chloe) DePauw, Joseph (Crystal) Reisenbigler, Kaitlin (Dalton) DePauw, Emma (Frank) Reisenbigler, Mason and Alicia Reul. Also including 5 Great grandchildren

and Brother Ron Chrisop.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene DePauw.
