Mike (Clarky) Clark, 69, of Geneseo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Geneseo Chapel. The family will host a Celebration of Life immediately following the visitation, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., at Shadow Lake, 27340 E. 1350th Street, Geneseo, IL 61254. Inurnment will be a private ceremony for the family at Liberty Cemetery, Atkinson. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Center at https://www.stjude.org/donate.
He was born September 23, 1956, in Geneseo, IL, the son of Henry and Shirley (Tomlinson) Clark. He was a 1974 graduate of Geneseo High School. Mike was an active member of the wrestling team and the local Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mike and Connie (Carton) were married on October 8, 2010. He found great joy in spending time with his family, working in the garage on his Harleys and Mustangs while jamming out to his favorite tunes, or watching the Cubs games. His hobbies included long, extensive motorcycle rides, fishing, bowling, and long walks with his best friend, Gizmo.
Mike devoted a lifetime to his family, coaching softball, going to concerts, and mentoring his children. He also dedicated 40 years to the City of Geneseo, starting as a co-op student and retiring in 2013 as Foreman of the Geneseo Electric Department.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Connie Clark of Geneseo; children, Angie (Will) Kunasek of Agawam, MA, Lexie Clark (Taylor Wright) of Geneseo, Brice Johnson (Lauren Murphy) of Geneseo, and Erica Johnson of Geneseo; grandchildren, Hadleigh Mendoza (Erica), Jaxon and Lennon (Lexie), Nash Pollard (Erica), and Adeline (Angie); mother, Shirley Clark; siblings, Chris Clark and Alan Clark.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Henry Clark.
