Myrtle Annetta Geuns

Myrtle was born April 5, 1922, in rural Geneseo, the daughter of Frank and Mary Ann (Chrisop) Mortonson.  She graduated from Geneseo High School, the class of 1939.  Myrtle married Harold Atwell, in March of 1942.  She later married Walter Geuns in December of 1956.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her greatest joy came from spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Cheryl (Jack) Ward, Cordova, IL, and Carol (Mike) Park, Geneseo, IL; grandchildren, Matt (Jaime) Ward, Molly (Mark) Biedenfeld, Justin (Kim) Park, and Jodi (Morrie) DePorter; great-grandchildren, Colton Ward, Claire and Emma Biedenfeld, Leah and Landon Park, Joey and Ryan DePorter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Ann; husband, Walter; and brother, Howard Mortonson.
