Nancy Moore Obituary

Nancy D. Moore, 77, of Davenport, formerly of Atkinson, passed away on June 30, 2025, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA. Per her wishes she will be cremated, and no services will be held. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory- Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Nancy was born on September 13, 1947, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of George and Hazel (Whittington) Toppert. She married William Moore on November 9, 2001, and he survives. Nancy loved being outside, socializing with friends, seeing the flowers, and especially loved her cats. She attended Annawan United Methodist Church before returning to Davenport. She worked for Adel Plumbing in Bettendorf and Vera French for many years before retiring in 2010.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Bill Moore, sisters; Patricia (Tony) Doubler VanHyfte and Sandy (Dean) Gradert, sister-in-law, Teresa (Michael) Whitbeck and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Toppert, brother, George Toppert Jr., and infant son, Troy Ledford.
