Oneida Ann Strobbe, 75, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on May 7, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory-Geneseo Chapel. Pastor Chuck Reynolds will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Oneida will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Oneida was born on June 19, 1946, in Kewanee, IL the daughter of Truman and Oneida (Rahn) Hays. She married Lawrence Kleinau Jr. on June 17, 1967, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1974. She later married Charles “Luke” Strobbe on May 14, 1978, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2017. Oneida graduated from Blackhawk College and worked in the Human Resource Department there until her retirement. She loved to go bowling, read the Bible and traveling. She traveled to all 50 states and the highlight of her life was seeing Thunder Bay, Alaska. Oneida was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church in Geneseo.
Survivors include her children; Ryan (Suzanne) Kleinau of Scottsdale, AZ, Pam Kleinau of Rock Island, Janice Kleinau of Centerville, IA and Rachel (Jayson) Saylor of Atkinson, grandchildren; Mason and Drake Saylor and Raymond Nolan, niece, Connie (Loren) Tenboer of Morrison, IL and nephews, Randy Noord of Prophetstown and Corey Noord of Atkinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and one sister Marilyn Noord.
