Pamaline Taube Obituary

Pamaline Mae Taube, 74, of Allerton, IA, formerly of Orange, CA, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, IA.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo.  Reverend S. Stephen Mueller will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m., prior to the funeral service, at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Geneseo Food Pantry and Concordia Lutheran Church.  Our Savior, Jesus Christ, has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel.  Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through his servant, Pam Taube.  Due to COVID restrictions, only 80 people may be allowed in the church.  Masks must be worn, and distancing maintained.  For further policy details, please contact Concordia Lutheran Church directly.  The services will be live-streamed on the Concordia Lutheran Church Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/geneseolutheranchurch/).

Pam was born in Los Angeles, CA, on November 20, 1945, to the parents Edward Holz and Hazel Holz.  She was reborn as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism on February 24, 1946.  On March 22, 1959, she was confirmed in the Christian faith and was fed the life-giving body and blood of Jesus.  Pam graduated from Orange High School, Orange, CA.  She was united in holy marriage to Arden Taube on February 7, 1987.  They were blessed with thirty-three years of married life together.  God also blessed them with the gift of a child, Elisa Taube Marfise.  Pam loved to travel.  Arden and Pam made the trip of a lifetime, going on safari to Tanzania, East Africa, for two weeks in 2018 -  a trip they would always treasure.  They also rafted down the Grand Canyon and the Salmon River.  When asked if Pam enjoyed baking or cooking, Arden jokingly stated, “Well, she loved Schwan’s and her microwave!”  Arden and Pam were members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Chariton, IA.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Arden; her daughter, Elisa (Michael) Marfise; granddaughter, Gemma Marfise; and her sister, Jacqueline Parker.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints.  The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.  We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister Pam.
