Patricia A. Johnson, 88, of Geneseo, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Woodridge Supportive Living – Geneseo. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Geneseo. Reverend Stephen Mueller will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Geneseo Aisle of Flags and St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Patricia was born on January 17, 1932, the daughter of Harry and Magda (Gustafson) Cochran, in Moline, IL. She married DeVon Miller in 1953. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1980. She later married Virgil Johnson on September 25, 2004. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2013. Patricia enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, and babysitting her grandchildren. She loved making scarves, and gave away hundreds to the churches in town and local food pantry. She was one of the founding members of the Aisle of Flags committee, and active in the VFW Auxiliary.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Melany Norris, TX, Monica (Mike) VanPaepeghem, ID and LaVon (Grady) Underwood, IL; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rosetta Byers, and Kathryn Higgins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Helen; husbands, DeVon and Virgil; sister, Joy Sundeen; and brother, Carl Cochran.
