Patricia Sundeen-Stottler Obituary

Patricia Ann Sundeen-Stottler, née Ryan, affectionately known as Patty, passed away on August 19, 2024, in Petersburg, TN. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, from 10:00 am until Noon at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory-Geneseo Chapel, followed by a short service and burial at Oakwood Cemetery. A luncheon at the VFW upstairs in Geneseo will follow the services, celebrating Patty's remarkable life and the joy she brought to so many.

Born on November 7, 1941, in Geneseo, IL, to Harold and Margaret (Henry) Ryan, Patty led a fulfilling life marked by love, family, and service. Patty graduated from Geneseo High School in 1959 and soon after married Paul Penrod Sundeen in April 1960. The couple was blessed with four daughters: Pamela, Paula, Peggy, and Penny. They shared a beautiful life together until Paul's passing in 1999. Patty found love again and married her high school classmate, Robert Stottler, in 2007, embracing a new chapter filled with joy and companionship.

Professionally, Patty was a dedicated employee at Northside Rexall Drug Store, where she worked until her retirement. Known for her vibrant personality and impeccable style, Patty earned the nickname "Classy Lassy." She never missed an opportunity to accessorize with her favorite earrings and lipstick, bringing a touch of elegance wherever she went.

Patty's passion for the outdoors was evident in her love for camping and fishing. She cherished these moments, especially when shared with her family. Patty also enjoyed shopping and had a special affinity for jewelry, which was more than just adornment; it was a reflection of her spirited character.

Patty is survived by her husband, Robert Stottler; daughters, Pam Sundeen of Geneseo, Paula Sundeen Blunk of Shelbyville, TN, and Penny Sundeen Morrow (Bill) of Petersburg, TN; grandchildren, Wesley Newell, Evan (Kayla) Blunk, and Emily Blunk; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Penrod Sundeen; daughter, Peggy Louise Sundeen; grandson, Ryan Blunk; her parents; and several aunts and uncles.
