Patricia L. VanHyfte

Patricia Lee VanHyfte, 84, of Atkinson, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center, Kewanee, IL.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Atkinson Chapel.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Annawan.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, before the funeral service.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Patricia was born on August 7, 1941, in Princeton, IL, the daughter of George and Hazel (Whittington) Toppert. She graduated from Annawan High School with the class of 1959.

On August 22, 1959, she married William Doubler, who preceded her in death on June 29, 2011. She later married Anthony “Tony” VanHyfte on February 23, 2022.

Patricia was a longtime member of Mineral Methodist Church and had previously attended St. Anthony Church. She found great pleasure in baking pies, crafting, and antiquing.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Anthony “Tony” VanHyfte; children, Tammie (Kenneth) Lamchick of Tiskilwa, IL, Diane (John) Lawrence of Atkinson, and Tracy (Melissa) Doubler of Madrid, IA; grandchildren, Tonya (Rob) Hahn, Amanda Thompson, Kelli (Eric) Robles, Ryan Stanley, and Mikaela (Rodger) Sperling; great-grandchildren, Gavin Hahn, Landon Hahn, Emmanuel Robles, Elisa Robles, Isabella Robles, and McCoy Sperling; and sister, Sandra (Dean) Gradert of Buda, IL.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Toppert; her husband, William Doubler; sister, Nancy Moore; and brother, George Toppert, Jr.
