Patricia "Trish" Ann Rusk

Patricia "Trish" Ann Rusk, 78, of Geneseo, IL died peacefully at home on January 27, 2023, surrounded by a loving family after a brave but short battle with cancer.  A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Dr. Chris Ritter will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family where it will be distributed to a worthy cause that is meaningful to the family.

Trish was born on September 9, 1944, in Geneseo, IL.   She graduated from JD Darnall High School in 1962.  She was a waitress for many years at the Deck Restaurant.  In 1984 she and her husband, Jim, opened Tri-Co Insurance Agency.  Trish became a licensed insurance agent in 1984. In 2003 she started working at Sentry Insurance until she retired. Trish began working at Walmart in 2009 and continued until her death.  She loved her co-workers and the customers she served. She called them her second family.  She was known for her smile, cheerful personality, and hugs.

Trish met the love of her life, Jim Rusk, and they were married in Las Vegas on July 2, 1978. Together they formed a beautiful family composing of seven children. Trish and Jim enjoyed life together and often took spur of the moment trips that always included antiquing. Trish loved spending time with her family. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends as loving, caring, giving and lighting up the room with her smile.

Trish was predeceased by her parents, Chester and Dorothy "Dee" Weber; brother, Roger Weber; grandparents, Samuel and Mary Elma Clark; and Casper and Viola Weber. She is survived by her loving husband Jim Rusk, children: Christopher (Jamie) Holm, Kim (Jeff) Barnes, Jimmie (Tina) Rusk, Jeff (Debbie) Rusk, Kevin (Angie) Rusk, Tom (Melissa) Rusk and Steve (Joan) Rusk and sisters: Mary (Mark) Seaholm and Renee (Mark) Taylor. Trish has 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and another great-grandbaby due in June. Trish is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
