Patty Ann Neuleib, 79, of Annawan, earned her heavenly reward on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Hammond Henry Hospital – Long Term Care, Geneseo. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Annawan Community United Methodist Church, 201 S. Main Street, Annawan, IL, 61234. A memorial visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the memorial service, at the church. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Annawan – Alba Rescue Squad and Annawan CUSD 226.
Patty was born June 24, 1944, the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Swails) Chambers, in Geneseo. She graduated from Annawan High School, class of 1962. She married Lynn W. Neuleib on March 26, 1970, at Fairview Methodist Church, Annawan. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2014. Patty was employed in housekeeping at Hammond Henry Hospital and as a CNA for Liberty Village. She had also worked for Geneseo Telephone Company. Patty was a member of Annawan Community United Methodist Church, enjoyed studying genealogy, and sewing. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Katrina “Sis” Neuleib of Annawan, Kurt (Monica) Neuleib of Heyworth, IL, Ky (Denise) Neuleib of Springfield, MO, and Kevin (Michele) Neuleib of Annawan; grandchildren, Lauren Neuleib, Levi Neuleib, Caleb Neuleib, and Noah Hines; honorary grandchildren, Uriah, Jaydn, and Drew; siblings, Charlotte (Dale) Goodrich of Geneseo, Rose (the late Bill) VanHyfte of Annawan, and Barbara (Lyle) Warfel of Arcola, IL; and sister-in-law, Janet Chambers of Pawnee, IL.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ruth Chambers; stepfather, Howard Rhoades; husband, Lynn W. Neuleib; brother, Jim Chambers; infant brother, Dennis Eugene Chambers; and several other loved ones.
